About the Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED Lens
The Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED is a high-ratio superzoom lens designed for Nikon DX-format DSLRs. It covers a wide-angle to telephoto range in one compact lens, making it ideal for travel, events and everyday photography when you want to carry just one lens. The Vibration Reduction system helps reduce the effects of camera shake, while the Silent Wave Motor provides fast, quiet autofocus. Two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements help minimise chromatic aberration, and the lens features a seven-blade diaphragm for pleasing background blur. The VR II version has the same optical design but adds an improved Vibration Reduction system (4 stops vs 3 stops) and a zoom lock switch.
