About the Sony SEL16F28 E Mount 16mm F2.8 Prime Lens
The Sony SEL16F28 is a compact wide-angle prime lens for Sony E-mount cameras. Its 16mm focal length gives a wide field of view, useful for landscapes, architecture, interiors and street photography, and on APS-C bodies it behaves like a 24mm equivalent. The fast f/2.8 maximum aperture helps in low light and allows some control over depth of field, while the slim pancake design keeps the lens small and light enough to leave on the camera. It is an affordable way to add a wide-angle option to a Sony mirrorless kit.
