About this model

The Canon EOS 500D (also known as the Rebel T1i in North America) is a mid-range DSLR from Canon's EOS line. Its 15.1-megapixel APS-C sensor captures detailed images with shallow depth of field, and the DIGIC 4 processor supports sensitivities up to ISO 12800. It was one of the first Canon DSLRs to offer Full HD 1080p video recording, making it a versatile choice for both stills and video. The 3-inch Clear View LCD has 920,000 dots for accurate framing and playback. This listing is for the camera body only; lenses are sold separately. It accepts Canon EF and EF-S lenses, and uses SD/SDHC memory cards and the LP-E5 battery.
