About this model
The Canon EOS 500D (also known as the Rebel T1i) is a well-rounded entry-level DSLR. Its 15.1-megapixel APS-C sensor delivers clean, detailed images with shallow depth of field, and it was one of the first in its class to offer Full HD 1080p video recording. The 3-inch Clear View LCD is bright and sharp for composing and reviewing shots. This kit includes the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens, a versatile standard zoom with image stabilisation for sharper handheld photos. It's a great choice for learning photography, with easy automatic modes and full manual control when you're ready.
