About this model

The Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM is a compact telephoto zoom designed for Canon's APS-C DSLRs. It covers a versatile 88-400mm equivalent range, ideal for portraits, wildlife, sports and travel. The optical Image Stabiliser compensates for up to four stops of camera shake, helping you shoot handheld at longer focal lengths. The STM (Stepping Motor) autofocus is smooth and quiet, making it well suited to video recording as well as stills. A UD lens element helps reduce chromatic aberration for sharp, clear images. This lens is a popular, affordable way to add serious reach to a Canon crop-sensor kit.
