About this model

The Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS is a compact telephoto zoom designed for Canon's APS-C DSLRs. Its 55-250mm range gives an 88-400mm equivalent view, ideal for sports, wildlife, portraits and travel. The built-in Image Stabilisation reduces shake by up to four stops, helping you shoot handheld at longer focal lengths. A DC micro motor provides smooth autofocus, and the lens focuses as close as 1.1m for near-macro shots. At just 390g, it balances well on smaller bodies like the EOS 400D or 700D. Please note: this is an EF-S lens, so it only fits Canon APS-C DSLRs, not full-frame or mirrorless cameras without an adapter.
