About this model

The Canon EOS 1000D (also sold in some regions as the Rebel XS) is an entry-level DSLR aimed at first-time users. Its 10.1-megapixel APS-C sensor is far larger than a compact camera or phone sensor, giving cleaner low-light images and more control over depth of field. The 2.5-inch LCD supports Live View for composing on screen, and the 7-point autofocus system is straightforward for learning. It uses Canon's EF and EF-S lens mount, so it can share lenses with other Canon DSLRs. This listing is for the camera body only; a lens is required to take photographs.
