About this model
The Canon PowerShot G7 X is a premium compact aimed at photographers who want DSLR-style image quality in a body that fits a pocket. Its 1-inch 20.2-megapixel sensor is much larger than those in ordinary compacts or phones, so it gathers more light and produces cleaner results in dim conditions and more natural background blur. The 24-100mm equivalent zoom has a bright f/1.8-2.8 maximum aperture, helping in low light and for shallow depth of field. A tilting 3-inch touchscreen makes framing at odd angles easy, and there is a built-in pop-up flash plus Wi-Fi with NFC for quick sharing.

Questions about this model
Is the Canon G7 X good in low light?
Yes. Its 1-inch sensor and bright f/1.8-2.8 lens let in much more light than a typical compact or phone camera, so it copes well indoors and in the evening.
Does the G7 X have a viewfinder?
No. Framing is done on the 3-inch tilting touchscreen, which can be angled for high and low shots.
Can I transfer photos to my phone?
Yes. Built-in Wi-Fi with NFC works with the Canon Camera Connect app for wireless transfer and remote shooting.
