About this model
The Canon PowerShot SX220 HS is a compact superzoom built for travel and everyday shooting. Its 14x optical zoom covers a wide range of subjects, from wide landscapes to distant details, while the 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 processor deliver detailed images and Full HD 1080p video. Optical Image Stabilizer reduces blur from handshake, particularly at the long end of the zoom, and the 3-inch LCD makes framing and reviewing shots straightforward. Scene modes and automatic settings keep it easy to use, while manual and semi-manual controls suit photographers who want more input. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the camera.
