About this model
The Canon PowerShot SX240 HS is a compact travel camera built around a 20x optical zoom lens. It covers 25mm wide-angle for landscapes and interiors through to 500mm equivalent for distant subjects, so one small camera handles most situations. The 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5 processor deliver detailed images and Full HD 1080p video, while Intelligent IS steadies handheld shots and Smart Auto picks settings automatically. A 3-inch LCD makes framing and reviewing easy, and the metal body slips into a pocket or bag. A good choice if you want long zoom reach and simple operation without carrying a DSLR and lenses.
