About this model
The Canon PowerShot SX30 IS is a bridge camera that combines a powerful 35x optical zoom lens with point-and-shoot simplicity. Its 14.1-megapixel CCD sensor and DIGIC 4 processor deliver detailed images, while the 24-840mm equivalent lens covers everything from wide landscapes to distant wildlife. Optical Image Stabilisation helps keep shots sharp at long focal lengths, and the 2.7-inch vari-angle LCD makes it easy to frame from odd angles. The camera also records 720p HD video with stereo sound. With full manual controls and a comfortable grip, it suits photographers who want DSLR-like reach without changing lenses.
