About this model
The Canon PowerShot SX740 HS is a travel-friendly superzoom compact. Its 40x optical zoom covers a huge range from wide-angle scenes to distant subjects, with optical image stabilisation helping keep handheld shots sharp at the long end. A 20.3-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 processor deliver detailed stills and 4K video, while the tilting 3-inch screen makes high- and low-angle shooting easier. It is a good choice for holidays, wildlife, concerts and everyday carry when you want far more reach than a phone without carrying a bag of lenses.
