About this model
The Fujifilm FinePix S2950 is a bridge camera that looks and handles like a DSLR but keeps everything simple. Its 18x optical zoom covers wide-angle to long telephoto, so you can shoot landscapes, portraits and distant subjects with one lens, and the 14-megapixel sensor captures plenty of detail for sharing or printing. A 3-inch LCD and an electronic viewfinder let you frame shots either way, while AA batteries make power easy to top up anywhere. Scene modes and face detection handle the settings for you, and the DSLR-style grip gives steadier handheld shots at full zoom. A straightforward, affordable step up from a compact.
