About this model
The Nikon AF-S 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED VR is a professional macro lens for Nikon F-mount cameras. It focuses down to 0.31m for true 1:1 life-size reproduction, making it ideal for insects, flowers, coins and product photography. The 105mm focal length gives a comfortable working distance so you don't scare your subject, and the fast f/2.8 maximum aperture delivers a bright viewfinder image and shallow depth of field for portraits. Vibration Reduction helps steady handheld shots, while the Silent Wave Motor provides quick, quiet autofocus with full-time manual override. Internal Focusing keeps the lens length constant, and Extra-low Dispersion glass controls chromatic aberration for sharp, contrasty images.

Does it work on my Nikon D3500?
Yes. It will mount, meter, and autofocus because the lens has a built-in Silent Wave Motor. VR also works.
