About this model
The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is a do-everything zoom for Nikon DX (APS-C) DSLRs. Its 7.8x range covers wide-angle landscapes through to a useful telephoto reach, so one lens handles travel, family, portraits and everyday shooting without swapping glass. Vibration Reduction compensates for camera shake, helping handheld shots in low light and at the long end. A Silent Wave Motor gives quick, quiet autofocus with full-time manual override, and an extra-low dispersion (ED) element plus an aspherical element help control colour fringing and distortion. A practical single-lens upgrade from a standard 18-55mm kit zoom.
