About this model
The Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR is a standard kit zoom for Nikon DX-format DSLRs. Its 18-55mm range gives a 27-82.5mm equivalent on DX bodies, covering wide-angle to short telephoto for everyday shooting. Vibration Reduction helps reduce blur from camera shake, while the Silent Wave Motor provides fast, quiet autofocus. The lens is compact and lightweight, making it a practical choice for travel and general photography. It accepts 52mm filters and comes with front and rear caps. This lens is designed for Nikon DX-format cameras. It does not cover the full-frame FX image circle, so it will vignette on FX bodies in FX mode; use DX crop mode if available.

Compatibility
Fits Nikon DX-format DSLRs with an F-mount. Because it has a built-in Silent Wave Motor, autofocus works on all Nikon DSLRs, including entry-level models without a built-in focus motor (such as D3000, D5000 series and D3400). It will not autofocus on manual-focus bodies. Not designed for full-frame FX cameras; on FX bodies it will vignette in FX mode and should be used in DX crop mode if available.
