About this model
The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is a practical all-purpose zoom for Nikon DX-format DSLRs. Its 5.8x range covers everything from wide landscapes to portraits and distant subjects, making it a great walk-around lens. Vibration Reduction helps reduce camera shake for sharper handheld shots, while the Silent Wave Motor provides fast, quiet autofocus. An extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element and aspherical lens element help minimise chromatic aberration and distortion. The lens is lightweight and compact, ideal for travel and everyday photography.

Compatibility
Fits Nikon DX-format DSLRs with an F-mount. Autofocus works on all Nikon F-mount DSLRs, including entry-level bodies without a built-in focus motor (e.g., D3000, D5000, D3500 series), because the lens has a built-in Silent Wave Motor. Not suitable for full-frame FX cameras unless used in DX crop mode.
Questions about this model
Is this lens compatible with my Nikon D3500?
Yes. It will mount, meter, and autofocus on the D3500 because the lens has a built-in Silent Wave Motor; the D3500's lack of a screw-drive focus motor does not prevent autofocus with AF-S lenses.
Does this lens have image stabilisation?
Yes, it features Nikon's Vibration Reduction (VR) technology to help reduce blur from camera shake.
What is the filter thread size?
The lens accepts 67mm screw-on filters.
