Its 24.2-megapixel DX-format (APS-C) sensor delivers detailed images with shallow depth of field, and the Guide Mode walks you through settings step by step. It shoots Full HD 1080p video at 60p and offers a 5 frames-per-second burst. The included AF-P DX 18-55mm VR lens is a versatile everyday zoom with Vibration Reduction for sharper handheld shots. Weighing around 415g with battery and card (365g body-only), it's comfortable to carry all day, and the battery lasts for approximately 1,550 shots per charge. With access to Nikon's extensive F-mount lens range, the D3500 is a great starting point for anyone wanting better photos than a phone or compact can provide.
