About this model
The Nikon Coolpix L340 is a simple, affordable bridge camera built around a long zoom. Its 28x optical zoom covers a very wide range, from wide-angle group shots and landscapes to close-ups of distant subjects, and the 20.2-megapixel sensor captures detailed images in good light. A 3-inch LCD screen is used for framing and reviewing shots, and controls are kept straightforward with automatic scene modes that suit beginners. It runs on four AA batteries, so you can carry spares rather than rely on a charger, and it records 720p HD video. A practical choice for travel, wildlife and family days out on a budget.
