About this model
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 is an enthusiast compact from Panasonic's LX line. Its 10.2-megapixel CCD is unusually shaped: it captures a true 16:9 widescreen image without cropping, and can also shoot in 3:2 and 4:3. The Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens starts at a wide 28mm equivalent, useful for landscapes, interiors and group shots, and the optical image stabiliser helps keep handheld shots sharp. Full manual controls, RAW capture and a 2.8-inch LCD make it a capable pocket camera for photographers who want more than a point-and-shoot.
