About this model
The Sony SEL50F18 is a fast, compact prime lens for Sony APS-C E-mount cameras. Its 50mm focal length gives a 75mm equivalent field of view, ideal for portraits, low-light shooting and everyday photography. The bright f/1.8 maximum aperture lets in plenty of light and creates smooth background blur, while built-in Optical SteadyShot (OSS) image stabilisation helps keep handheld shots sharp. A linear autofocus motor provides quick, quiet focusing that is well suited to both stills and video. The lens is lightweight and portable, making it a great addition to any Sony APS-C kit.
