About this model

The Sony E 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ OSS is the standard kit zoom for Sony's APS-C mirrorless cameras. Its powered zoom mechanism and retractable barrel keep it small and light, making it a natural match for compact bodies like the a5000, a6000 and a6700 series. The 16-50mm range covers wide-angle to short telephoto (24-75mm in full-frame terms), suitable for landscapes, portraits and travel. Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation helps reduce blur in low light, and the power zoom is smooth and quiet for video. The lens focuses internally and accepts 40.5mm filters.
