About this model

The Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II is a compact telephoto zoom designed for Canon APS-C DSLRs. It covers a versatile 55-250mm range (88-400mm equivalent), making it ideal for sports, wildlife, travel and portraits. The 4-stop Image Stabiliser reduces blur from camera shake, while the DC micro-motor drives the autofocus. A UD lens element helps minimise chromatic aberration for sharp, clear images. Weighing around 390g, it is an easy lens to carry and a popular second lens for anyone moving on from a standard kit zoom.
