About this model
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 is a mirrorless camera that sits between the entry-level G6 and the enthusiast GX8. It uses a 16-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor, which is smaller than APS-C but larger than most compact cameras, giving good low-light performance and control over depth of field. The G7 was one of the first cameras at its price to offer 4K video recording, and it also includes 4K Photo modes that let you extract 8MP stills from 4K footage. A built-in 2.36-million-dot electronic viewfinder and a 3-inch free-angle touchscreen make framing easy, while the included 14-42mm lens covers a versatile everyday zoom range. It is a solid choice for photographers and video creators who want a lightweight, capable system.
