About this model
The Sony Alpha A7S (ILCE-7S) is a full-frame mirrorless camera designed for exceptional low-light performance and video. Its 12.2-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor has large pixels that capture more light, delivering clean images at very high ISO settings – up to 409600 (expanded) – and making it a favourite for night, event and documentary shooting. It records Full HD 1080p internally and can output 4K video via HDMI to an external recorder. The 2.36-million-dot electronic viewfinder and tilting 3-inch LCD help with framing, while the compact body accepts Sony's E-mount lenses. It also offers a silent shutter mode and focus peaking for manual-focus work.
