These terms apply when you buy from Buy Any Tech at buyanytech.co.uk (“we”, “us”). Selling an item to us? See our Trade-in terms. They don’t affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. What we sell
- We sell used, tested electronics. Each product page is for one specific item: the photos are of that item, and its condition grade and what’s included are listed on the page.
- Used items show signs of use in line with their grade (see each product page). Cosmetic marks consistent with the stated grade are not a fault.
- We try to describe every item accurately. If we make an obvious pricing or description error, we’ll contact you and you can cancel for a full refund.
2. Ordering and payment
- Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we dispatch the item and email you to confirm.
- Prices include VAT where applicable (many used items are sold under the VAT margin scheme, so VAT isn’t shown separately). Payment is taken at checkout using the methods shown there.
- Because every item is unique, if it sells out or turns out not to meet our standards before dispatch, we’ll cancel and refund you in full.
3. Delivery
- We deliver to UK addresses (excluding Northern Ireland). Orders are dispatched within 1 working day.
- Free tracked delivery takes 3–4 working days; expedited delivery (1–2 working days) is available for a fee at checkout. See Delivery.
- The item is your responsibility once it’s delivered to you or someone you’ve nominated.
4. Returns – 30 days
You can return an item for any reason within 30 days of delivery and we’ll refund you within 14 days of getting it back, as set out in our Refund and Returns Policy. Please return it in the condition you received it, with everything that came with it. If you’re returning it because you changed your mind, return postage is your responsibility; if the item is faulty or not as described, we cover the return postage. This is in addition to your legal right to cancel within 14 days.
5. Warranty – 6 months
Every item comes with a free 6-month warranty against technical faults, which you register within 14 days of delivery. It doesn’t cover accidental, liquid or screen damage, or faults caused by repairs or modifications. Full details: Warranty. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality (taking into account that they are used) and fit for purpose.
6. Faulty or not as described
If an item is faulty or not as described, contact us at [email protected]. We cover the cost of returning it to us. Within 30 days of delivery you can reject it for a full refund; after that we’ll repair or replace it, or refund you if that isn’t possible.
7. Liability
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We’re not responsible for data stored on devices, or for business losses. Nothing here limits liability that can’t legally be limited (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
